Erik Qualman—digital leadership speaker, entrepreneur, and author—predicted that 2015 is the year that companies will start to think mobile-first. As of April 21st, 2015 Google rolled out its new algorithm, prioritizing websites with responsive design in its mobile web search results. This effectively pushes websites with a “Mobile Friendly” design higher up on googles search pages meaning more customer traffic to those websites.

How This Work ?

A regular website is designed for viewing on a desktop computer. When viewed on a smaller mobile or tablet device, the user experience isn’t optimum as certain elements and features on the website might not function properly. With a responsive mobile friendly web design, the same content is displayed differently and in an optimal layout depending on the screen size. Mobile friendly web design also include features that take advantage of the advanced capabilities of a mobile phone such as a click-to-call button and click-to-email.
